EBT Hong Kong Trip - OCT 2008
wow ... after 4 years and we finally have another plan to visit to HK again! Nothing really much different compare to our first trip, but we got to go places that we didn't visit last time, we don't really go to a lot of shopping mall, but mostly on some trourist spots, e.g. Madame Wax Museum, Night tour to the Vistoria Peak, Nong PIng 360 by Cable car, the new Disney Land, Wong Tai Sin and Macau too!
This is suppose to be company trip, we couldn't have so much freedom of choosing where to go and where not to go this time, so when have some spare time we would definately visit to the famous shopping place !!!What's new this time, let see ... I finally got to taste of the Chow-Tao-fu for the first time in HK (had tried one in Taiwan), but this definately taste different, and smell way DIFFERENT too!! What about my shopping results? I'm sure is the best this time.. ha!

Wine Wine Wine - May 06'
aha ... we decided a family gateway to the biggest island, Australia after my Angkor Trip. We arrived at Melbourne around 7a.m. Aus time but was quarantined in the airport for some questionnaires... why ??!?!?? they thought we are going to stay in Australia and never returned and held us in the airport for almost one and a half hours !!!!
In Melbourne, we have a city tour, I kinda like this place as it is quite a lay back town, we have a city tour then went back to our Batman Hill's hotel ... Nothing much to see in the town, but I quite like the environment there. The next day we headed to the Philip Island, hahaha to see the penguin for the 2nd time, i have seen once in Omaha Zoo, Nebraska back when i was still studying in the states, but this is the first time i see such small and adorable penguin !!!! can you imagine the size of an adult penguin is not even 30cm? WOW !!!!! *Shock* It was kinda chilly then.

We stayed a night in the Philip Island then we headed to Yalla Valley .... there's the place for wine ;) along the journey, we can see lots of grapes alley, the view is pretty awesome ! I bought two bottle of red wine from Domain Chaldon ...
At night, we flew to Sydney. I've been here once to visit my aunt. Except for the well known Opera House, Darling harbor and the Chinatown, actually is nothing much to see in Sydney city itself... but what i can say is, the view is awesome ! Of course i could have done a lot of activities here like sky dive, climb the bridge, oh well ...guess it was too expensive for me to do so ;) We do have a seafood feast in one of the famous Chinese restaurant the Chinatown, i couldn't remember the name, there we took huge Lobster, and big and fat clay Crab !!! So big !!! and of course it cost us around AUS400 .... hohohho ... but it was really good !!!! Oh yah .. how can i forget the luxurious hotel we have stayed in - Four Points !!!!
Then we flew to Brisbane and from there we drove to the Gold Coast, beaches, beaches and beaches .... and hey ... now i remember, we didn't really went for a swim !!!!! instead we went to for a roller coastal and some xciting rides in sea-world and the universal studios and of course some shopping in one of the factory outlets there, guess we spent too much time in the factory outlet :P
On the 7th day we drove back to Brisbane and we have a leisure walk around the city area and then we headed home.
It was a nice family tour and we will sure arrange for another one to New Zealand !!!

ShangHai -April 06
I didn't really get a chance to travel around Shanghai, co'z i was here for a workshop and most of the time I was working in the HP building or in the hotel. But is wasn't too bad to work in the HP building as it has a nice view of Shanghai ... and managed to snap some "quick-pix" from the window from the office building, hotel and from a cab we are riding to go around shanghai town :P

The FOOD is awesome, i have "little-dumpling" 小龙包 for almost every meal, it tasted just so good ... and not forget those hot and spicy food we had, and it makes my lips bloated, very embarrassing ! There's one place call “滴水洞“ .... yum yum ... famous for the "water-cook-fish", some pork ribs, and some other spicy stuff ... check out it's menu, which is all listed in Chinese and pity our "banana" friend can't even order anything from the menu ....
We had a chance to go "around" shanghai for about an hour before departing ... hahaha...what a ride !

Magnificent Angkor Wat - April 06
Heard a lot bout this place and being one of the seven wonders in the world, and yet it's not too far from where i live, so ...why not ?

I remember there's was this AirAsia sales on the flight ticket to fly to Cambodia and at the same time my sis-in-law suggested to go for a break from the hectic work schedules and then we planned everything in just one week and there we go to Angkor Wat !
Places we went, the Angkor Wat of course!, Bahreng, Baksei Chamkrong, South Gate, Angkor Thom (my personal favorite ... remember the Tomb Raider ??? Angelina Jolie ring your bell ?? ) Ba Phoun, Elephant Terrace, Terrace if Leper King, Prasat Kravan, Srah Srang, Banteay kdei, and some other tempers which i can't really recall the names but then most of the tempers will soon be devastated by the forest, there are some restoration work being carried out. (oh. remember to bring along a passport size photo in order to enter to the Angkor Wat area)
The food...hmmm ... errrr ..... guess can't expect too much unless you are going to have buffet in hotels and etc ... i would say i don't get a chance to taste any unique dish, it's more like something we had in Thailand, tom yam, pineapple rice, sticky rice with manggo, etc.
It's a wonderful and sweaty trip, be prepare to WALK a LOT !

Makan Paradise - July 04
What can i say more about this place...such a eating paradise, all we have done is eat, eat and eat ..... hmm ... what is good and special ? "DIM SUM" la ! I actually wanted to try the ever famous "chow-tao-fu" , however from far we have smell something like the smell from "long-kang", then our courage went down to zero ... nah ... i just gonna pass that :P
Highly recommended for the simple wan-tan-mien, so good ... one funny thing i found out in HK is, if you ordering hot drinks actually it's kinda comes with the meal, but if you order cold drinks you need to add RM2 to it ...hmmm ..... funny .... we also tasted chow-ngao-ho, good !!! I should have taken more food photos.... anyways... probably should plan to HK another time later ...

Of course i went for the shopping for its ever famous shopping spot hohohho our hotel is near Wong-Kok, which near the shopping stretch .... actually there's not cheap goods in HK, I will say things in Malaysia rather cheaper, oh well .. good to have the negotiation experience ;) If compare to the trip in Korea, the HK people is much more polite in this :P
We went to "dai-yu-san", have a good CLIMB for the Giant Buddha, we actually had a race up the stairs ... almost 300 steps i believe ... and great ... it's really big and we got to see Anita Mui, the late famous HK singer/actress resting place. We tried the vegetarian food here, what i can say ... how could they manage to cook such delicious vegetarian food !!!
The Victoria Peak, where you can have a nice view of the whole island ... it's cool ... but we should have came here at night ... i bet the view will be nicer ! At night we went to the Victoria Harbour instead, a good ferry tour, but it was a good experience to all of us :)
Other places that we went are the cosway bay, repulse bay, Lan Kwai Fong (yeah .... drink, drink and drink ! ), avenue of stars, etc....
A day before heading home, we ordered nice "siew-ngo" and godddddddddd ... taste so good. We got pack soem lou-po-pein back and some nice cookies .... it was a cool trip and if i have to come back again, i will say spend lesser time in the shopping malls ! It is pretty easy to get to places in HK, either you walk or you can take the HK rail ... easy !

Korea Trip Dec '03

Korea ... i remember of their language or i would rather say it sound a bit "rough" and i think people not as nice :(
hmm ... actually i don't quite satisfy with this tour, hmm ... basically we travelled in the bus most of the time and from one place to get to the other it takes just so long, so we don't really travel to a lot of places in Korea, some highlights are the Nanta show, Shopping at Dongdaemun Market (yah we got lost and the whole bus was waiting for us), Walker Hill Casino ( hey i lost RM300 there !), Play at the Everyland, visited some temple and muzeum (pretty boring) and Ski at the err... i can't really remember the place we went for skiing but basically it was a "hand-made"snow .... well ..i had fun skiing anyways.... hehehe
Food ... GOOD !!! Ginseng Chicken sticky rice, BBQ, the beef is so goooooooooooooood, steamboat buffet, kimchi kimchi and kinchi, and never forgotten eating ice-cream during such cold weather and beer and tit-bits too.
Will most probably visit this place again with my mom later ;)
